Banffy Castle

Banffy Castle, located in the picturesque village of Bonțida, near Cluj-Napoca, Romania, is often referred to as the "Versailles of Transylvania" due to its stunning Baroque architecture and expansive, lush gardens. Built in the 15th century and reaching its zenith of beauty and complexity in the 18th century under the guidance of the Banffy family, the castle has been a central figure in the cultural and political landscape of Transylvania.

Despite suffering significant damage during World War II and the subsequent communist regime, the castle's enduring charm remains undiminished, captivating visitors with its historical grandeur and architectural beauty.
